Companies (Significant Beneficial Owners) Rules, 2018
The government has introduced the introduced the new set of companies rules via Notification dated 13 June 2018. These rules may be called the Companies (Significant Beneficial Owners) Rules, 2018. The Companies (Significant Beneficial Owners) Rules, 2018 shall come into force when it is published(13 June 2018).
It contains eight rules and the format of the forms to be used in these rules. Following are the eight rules described in the notice:_
- Short title and commencement.
- Definitions.
- Declaration of significant beneficial ownership in shares under section 90.
- Return of significant beneficial owners in shares.
- Register of significant beneficial owners.
- Notice seeking information about significant beneficial owners.
- Application to the Tribunal.
- Non-Applicability.
