Reimbursement of GST paid on specific items by Charitable/Religious Institutions for distributing free food to the public
President has accorded sanction for the launching of the Scheme of Financial Assistance under Seva Bhoj Yojana. From the financial year 2018-19 to 2019-2020 with the financial outlay of INR 325.00 Crores. Under this scheme, CGST and share of Center in IGST paid on the purchase of specific items by Charitable / Religious Institutions for distributing free food to the public. Shall be reimbursed as financial assistance by the Government of India.
