Find a taxpayer without login on GSTN
Many times we need to search for a taxpayer on GST portal. It is important as we should confirm the taxpayer before raising an invoice. On the other hand at the time of receiving an invoice also it is advisable to check GSTN. In this article, we will discuss a quick guide on how to find a taxpayer without login on GSTN.
Step 1: Go to the home page of GSTIN at www.gst.gov.in. At the home page click on search taxpayer and you see two options.

Step 3: Taxpayers details are here. Once you will click on search you will get all important details related to a taxpayer. You will see their date of registration, jurisdiction, and other important data.
This process will help in finding a taxpayer. In GST era it is advisable to confirm the authenticity of a taxpayer. Doing business with an unauthenticated person has its own risks. In case the supplier dont file the return or make their compliance recipient will have to suffer.
