In a batch of petitions challenging the various provisions of PMLA, SC adjourned the proceedings. Now the cases will be heard by the next bench. This decision was taken after two days of hearings.
The government was repeatedly pressing for the adjournment. The court took the decision with a heavy heart.The solicitor general Tushar Mehta said that he is feeling handicapped. There are many issued added by the petitioners. He is unable to give any verdict at that moment.
A bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Sanjeev Khanna and Bela M Trivedi heard the case full day.
December 15 is the last working day of justice kaul. The bench said that it will not be possibe for them to announce the verdict till 15th December.
