“Remove Chinese apps” Movement:

Yes, we all are emotional. We love our country and quick to react to anything served with patriotism. Remove Chinese Apps movement started. Google removed the app made for the removal of all Chinese apps. They said that it is against Google’s policy of fair business. This is a very important term. Fair practices to do the business. Also, Google restores the rating of Tik Tok. The reason is that the rating was downgraded due to sentiment and not due to its performance. It should be an eye-opener for us. 

Not only this, but Youtube also removed the viral video favoring youtube over tik tock.  We need to understand that businesses need to cater to the need of consumers. Only a spurt in manufacturing can help to compete with China. There is a small joke yesterday. China is printing “boycott China” T-shirt, due to high demand in India.

How we react?

We don’t even know what we are importing from China and what we are making in house. The biggest question is why we are not manufacturing those products. What if we don’t import from China and we don’t manufacture either. When we use an app or use a product, do we use it to boost the economy of any country, No. Do we install an app to boost its revenue? no. we do it because we find ut useful. We buy something after comparing it to its peers. We find cheap and best quality and pay for it. The same is the case with the entire electronic commerce Industry. W buy online to destroy domestic suppliers? no, we do it because it is convenient. Then thee type of campaigns cant have. along with lasting impact. We need to plug the basic problem instead of beating the bush.

Expectation Vs. Reality:

We expect that we will improve as an economy but actually we may collapse also. Manufacturing units cant start their run in a span of weeks. But the traders selling those goods are out of business. Then the consumers using it are again out of those goods. It can result in a price rise in these items. Increasing the overall rise in inflation. Thus the Remove Chinese Apps movement and control on imports may result in the worst condition in our country. 

What can we do then?

It is bad condition for our country. But things are not impossible. e can still try to do our best.

Capital infusion in the manufacturing sector:

The manufacturing sector needs a booster. No, MSME loans things won’t be able to do the needful. The huge capital infusion is required to acquire the machinery and technology.

Training of unemployed people :

We have a huge workforce but we failed to train them. That’s the reason that they are not being able to perform. The spike in manufacturing activity will need a huge workforce. The second step should be to train the unskilled people. Simple skills up-gradation can do wonders in their lives. Also a huge demand for tax professionals can also be seen.

Research and innovation:

The largest corporates are spending on research and patent. This should be the focus of our government also. Spend on research and development. It will create huge opportunities for the businesses.

Handholding for businesses:

It is the most important part. Businesses need handholding and not tax terrorism. They need support from the government. It can be in the form of infrastructure. In some cases, a relief can be given in compliances.

Curb on corruption in governments:

We all face it at some point in time. You try to avail of any government scheme but then corruption. many times it is so prevalent that you quit. A feeling of frustration and hatred for the system creeps in.
