In early June, the G7 reached a “historic” deal to make multinational companies pay more tax. They agreed to introduce a global minimum corporate tax rate of at least 15% to try to stop tax competition. The OECD finalized a landmark agreement to subject multinational enterprises (MNEs) to a minimum 15% tax from 2023. Many eminent countries including India have agreed to the minimum tax . The framework aims to increase taxes paid by multinationals in jurisdictions where profits are earned, helping countries generate more revenue and addressing tax avoidance. This issue has become one of the most widely discussed issues in international taxation. Therefore we are holding a webinar where we will discuss this historic development.
