In a significant stride towards infrastructure development, the Revenue Secretary, Shri Sanjay Malhotra, ceremonially laid the foundation stone for the New GST Bhawan and Residential Quarters in Hyderabad on March 12, 2024. This ambitious project, spearheaded by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), aims to elevate work environments by providing modern office and residential facilities for officers and staff of the CGST and Customs, Hyderabad Zone.
Project Overview:
The project encompasses the construction of a state-of-the-art office tower and a residential tower to cater to the operational and residential needs of CBIC officers. Strategically located near Hitec City, Hyderabad, the New GST Bhawan will cover an expansive area of 77,000 square meters, featuring 21 office floors, 2 basements, and 4 levels of above-ground parking. Designed in compliance with GRIHA rating and green norms, the building promises enhanced taxpayer services and employee welfare amenities, including a GST Suvidha Kendra and a contemporary Auditorium. The residential tower will provide 21 apartments, ensuring comfortable living spaces for CBIC officers and staff.
