Govt will challange the judgement asking ED to give grounds of arrest

SC judgment direction to ED to inform the grounds of arrest in Pankaj Bansal case will be challenged by Govt in review petition

Recently we have posted the judgment of Pankaj Bansal Vs Union of India. In this case the court emphasised on the importance of communication of grounds of arrest.

It also stated that mere non-cooperation with the summons is not a ground for arrest. The information was provided by Tushar Mehta in the case of Newsclick.

The arrest in this case was challenged on the same grounds. In this case, the grounds of arrest were not given by the ED.
